What I'm doing

I am a Lecturer in the School of Mathematical and Physical Sciences at the University of Sheffield, where I am a member of the Probability Group.  My research interests are mostly in the area of random networks and related reinforced processes.

I obtained my DPhil from the Mathematical Institute in the University of Oxford, associated with St. Anne's College and working with Neil O'Connell and Ben Hambly.

Until June 1999 I was a student at Queens' College, Cambridge.

I also spent a year in the Maths Department in the University of Bristol before I moved to Oxford in October 2000.

Non-academic interests

I enjoy mountain walking and cross-country skiing and have been a member of the Oxford University Walking Club; I am now a member of the Sheffield Walking Group.
